Awesome... NYC could use a couple hundred of those buses.. the current ICE buses are disgusting, loud, polluting dinosaurs.

Anyone know where these buses are made? Hopefully in NA, not China...
These were New Flyer buses. I think the driver said they are made in Alabama.

I had to google it. It looks like 3 years of unlimited 30 minutes sessions. It’s actually interesting that so many are charging to 100% then. ?‍♂
I'm pretty sure they can just unplug at 30 min and then plug in again to get another 30 min, i'd be surprised if there is a mechanism to stop them.

I remember seeing electric buses in Park City, UT this summer. They had a scissor lift looking thing on the top that engaged the charger at a drive through. I don't know what kind of power they were pushing through there, but it looked serious and a nice system. Reminded me of when they dock the little spaceship in the mothership in Independence Day.

Maybe one day EA will be forced to impose time or minimum current draw limits if it becomes too widespread?
Boy I hope not. There are certainly times where you need the extra juice, especially with a smaller battery car like my MINI that only has 28.9 kWh usable. As another person said, towing with an R1T will also frequently require deeper charging until we get closer to the 50 mile DCFC interval the infrastructure bill intends to get in place.

ID4s always fill up to 100
But for real...why is this the case? Is this a factor of all the manufacturers offering "free" charging so people decide they're just going to take full advantage and to hell with anyone waiting even though they don't need it?!
