I have seen some posts somewhat related, but nothing that is specifically this so I wanted to see if anyone was experiencing this. 1st Gen R1T for reference:
Background: I lived on the East coast until this summer. I had used the climate control a few times and it seemed to work ok. I now live in the PNW and with the drop in nighttime temps I started to use it more often. Starting with the October update (.39) I have had issues with scheduling from either the app or the truck itself. This is what I have experienced:
1) A recurring schedule (i.e., workdays) will only work the first day (and that is only if created that same day) but will not work on subsequent days.
2) A schedule that is created too far from the departure time doesn't always work (i.e., made at 4AM for a 7AM departure)
3) If there is a schedule that actually worked (started the climate) then whenever the vehicle is parked it restarts that scheduled climate again, even if it had reached the temps or it is past the time
4) Even by turning it off manually after restarting from placing in park, the climate will almost always restart again when the vehicle is placed in park the next time
5) The only way I have found to ensure the climate doesn't restart is by deleting the scheduled drive
Service initially told me to check that there was no seatbelt clicked in because that would cause it. After verifying that nothing was clicked in, nothing was even in the seats, they said the truck is still showing that a seatbelt is engaged. Not sure if this has always been there (I have between 1-2% loss a night with no real difference in Gearguard or other settings) and just being noticed now since I am asking questions or if there is an issue with the climate software.
Since it is ski season I really want to be able to precondition the truck before leaving (get the cabin and the battery nice and warm) but I am concerned that the truck will continue to try and keep the cabin warm while skiing and I will end up with issues.
