After an eventful week we return to the normal life of a Rivian preorder holder - limited (read: zero) communication and disappointment.

I have my first mile scheduled tomorrow in Denver. I'll post photos.
Yes....ask if they are moving forward with Denver test drives :)

I don’t really have anything to add to all the reviews other than to say it’s all true. This is the best car I have ever driven.
Here it is next to my 1500 with a 6” lift on 35s. Not as much of a bitch car as it looks like in photos once it’s lifted to max height.

I was at the Denver Service yesterday. The Trucks indeed are beautiful. Also, I noticed that ALL of the trucks had the Forest interior. Wish I could have examples of the other 2 interiors.

A rep told me that the service center essentially is open, but there’s nothing inside yet to see. Why wouldn’t Rivian devote one vehicle to each center, park it in the middle and open it up for buyers to really see it, sit in it, etc. It was great to see the trucks outside, but a bummer to have to just look through the windows.

I agree, not sure how feasible, but seems like an incredibly good idea to have one R1T and one R1S at each service center for folks to come look at and sit inside. Would answer SO many questions people have about size, rear seat space, 3rd row, seat comfort and on and on. Would also probably attract a lot of new potential future customers.

Forest Edge interior and not black mountain? There hasn't been anyone reporting a non-black-mountain interior produced yet, which would be very interesting.

Honestly I think most people would be satisfied being able to do exactly that. I think everyone is sold on or at least not concerned about the performance of the R1s, but so few people have even seen one. I know I would be thrilled to just spend an hour walking around an R1T, sitting in it and messing around with all the storage areas, etc.

I was there yesterday. All the trucks in the lot were BM. I think it was an innocent typo.

4 or 5 LG. 3 or 4 El Caps.

Hello fellow Coloradoans'!

I ran into a Rivian Adventure in the wild! I was pulling out of the Hooters in Northglenn, and one passed me. It had the white interior (not telling what the exterior color is, and the drivers request), 20" AT rims and tires. I followed the guy, it had Michigan Manufacture Plates. He pulled into the Orchard Center Outdoor Mall, and into the Charging Stations around the back side. I asked if he minded if I took a look at it, he was a test driver, but didnt mind at all..

The interior you can tell is Plastic/Vinyl, but it didnt feel terrible, just not as supple as leather. The seat was a tiny bit smaller than i was expecting, but not bad. The gear selector looks like it was lifted directly from the Benz, with subtle differences. The center Infotainment center was very responsive and worked well, with no delay in selecting different things.

I am glad I did not get the white interior. It was not white, not even egg shell/cream, more of a extra heavily creamed coffee.
The yellow had way to much brown in the tone for it to even be likeable for me.
He let me play with all the settings in the center stack. Steering wheel adjustment, height adjustment, odometer readings (6 months old, and 40k miles!), distance remaining. I did not play with the radio.

The test driver complained that he is constantly getting flashed by oncoming traffic because of either how bright the headlights are, or because of the light bar, and the headlights combined.

Got to see the green front and rear pulsing lights as it was being charged.

The test driver was definitely pushing the truck, not to its limit, or even close, but I was having to push my accelerator pedal more than I normally would! My wife called it a transformer when the driver opened the charger port.

Nice! Do you mean you saw an Explore model? If so I don’t think anyone has seen one in person yet. Exciting!

There are 2 trim levels to the R1T, Adventure, and Explore? The Adventure has painted mirror caps, where the Explore doesn't. This one was painted.

I think I have seen a couple Explore units when I went to the sales center in Denver a few weeks back. I say I think, as I don't know if the LE got painted mirror caps or not.

I guess I got it wrong peering through the windows - but I could swear the seats had a slight “greenish” color to them. More reason to park one in the service center and let us really look at one.

I just got back from the service center. There were 16 trucks on the lot, mostly Launch Green, but 2 El Cap, 1 Black, 1 Blue, and 1 Forest Green. All had Black Mountain interiors, except the Launch Green Mobile Service Vehicle that had Forest Edge. I then went to the brewery down the block. Decided to drive by again on the way out, and there was a truck delivering 3 more Launch Green. Couldn't tell the interior colors. There were also 3 R1Ts around the side that I assume were employee vehicles. One was LE, one was White, and I don't recall the 3rd. I've been planning the Launch Green, but have to say that the Forest Green was beautiful.

Additional info on Demo Drives. I contacted Customer Support via chat last Friday and asked about them in the Denver area. The rep said she didn't know, but would find out and would email me. Today I got a response saying that they weren't coming out to Golden, but if I was willing to drive to the Service Center I could do 10:45 this Fri. Was gonna ski, but this is more important so I jumped on it.

I also asked about when the Ocean Coast and Forest Edge interiors were going to start delivery, but she said she didn't know. She also didn't know when my Guide would reach out to me (I put down my deposit in late June 2019) . I'm supposedly slated for March/April delivery, so it should be s00n.
