So I just got an email that my Rivian wall charger has shipped. Still can't schedule delivery. For those that got the wall charger, how long before you were able to schedule delivery or have your vehicle delivered?

I seem to recall some people getting their wall chargers months before their truck was ready and others getting it months after they had their trucks. I'm not sure if it's indicative of any impending delivery or not.

Yeah I seem to remember reading that too. Just trying to get my hopes up that I can take delivery before 2023. My guide did say the charge would ship out about a week before I can schedule delivery but we all know how accurate some of the guide information is.

Snow Mode is the Bomb!!! I know there are lots of folks on here and other threads that say Snow Mode made no difference to them - that the truck was fine in All-Purpose Mode...that's crap! I'm on 22's and there is a huge difference between this morning and the last snow we received. Before, the truck felt a bit more "squirrelly"...not uncontrollable by any means, but just a bit more prone to move sideways. It also was more prone to minor sliding near the end of every stop. Now...easy, predictable takeoffs, no unintended movement under power and stopping (with normal cautious planning) is predictable and the truck behaves as expected. It was so much better, I had to remind myself to take it easy and drive with conditions as it just felt "normal".

I get my 20" Darks and ATs installed on Tuesday and will run with those the rest of the season and, based on experience with the 22's, it should be pretty awesome in the snow now.

Thanks so much to Rivian for dialing the truck in for different conditions!

Awesome thanks for feedback - I am also getting the 22's but plan to swap in Michelin X-Ice tires in the winter and keep the stock Pirelli's for the summer.

Snow mode and the suspension upgrades to the R1S have been HUGE. I'm on the 20s and ride quality in all-purpose and sport is a lot better than before. Snow mode is great with the lower regen. Can you get the car to push over the front wheels in a tight turn = YES, can you get the back to break out if pushing = YES, but this thing runs like it's on rails if driven correctly. Heading out in a few to try drift mode

I'm sure some of the enthusiasm around snow mode is warranted. But, it's below zero during this storm and even at 20F snow has far more traction than it does closer to freezing. I'd wait until another snow event closer to freezing before drawing any big comparisons to pre snow mode driving.

I get what you're saying but don't harsh my buzz! :CWL: Gotta take the wins where you find them!

Hopefully I'll have the 20s before the next event...

We’re about to get another thread on how the Rivian sucks and just flipped over for no reason.

?sorry to disappoint you. I didn’t run into a ditch and had a blast…I actually learned this before torque vectoring existed and drift mode is a hell lot of fun once you learn how the car reacts. For anyone without experience I would recommend an empty lot or a really wide snowy street before trying this ??
