I emailed all those documents to myself when I signed them. Had I not done that, I'd check to see if they show up in my website login, under my profile, then the vehicle, then under Documents (listed beneath Transaction Summary). If it weren't there, I'd contact my guide which for me is the delivery center team.

Thank you! I found the bill of sale and then following your suggestion found the Order Summary under the documents section.

Hopefully the tax credit gods will smile upon me.

I checked and saw a one page Order Summary in my portal, but for my tax credit I submitted a multi-page document that I had emailed myself, titled "CLOSED-END MOTOR VEHICLE LEASE AGREEMENT". I couldn't find that document in my portal.

I was able to get a copy of the lease agreement through Chase. Sent a Secure Message asking for the document and got a PDF about 4 hours later.

Fingers crossed on my Colorado submission!

The gvwr on my title is 8150. R1t quad

The go by what is listed on the drivers door jamb I believe that it is 8532 lbs

Anyone get rejected due to their VIN not being in the departments records? I checked my return and I definitely entered it correctly (matches all other paperwork as well and is definitely registered). Already filed my protest, but I'm not sure how they screwed this up...

Our tax credit was rejected because the state claims the R1S does not meet the 8,500 lbs minimum weight.

GVWR of R1S is 8,532 pounds. Apparently the onus is on me to prove this to them.

Per the state's documentation, I provided the lease agreement & registration. Also included Bill of Sale and Order Summary from the Rivian site. Doesn't look like any of these document the GVWR.

Questions:

1) Anyone else gotten the same GVWR denial?
2) If so, how did you prove the GVWR?

My current thought is to take a picture of the label on the door frame, any other suggestions?

I and many others in this thread got that GVWR denial. Most including myself sent in a picture of the door jamb label that shows VIN and GVWR, along with the purchase or lease contract and the other info they asked for in the denial letter. I remember one person in this thread saying they had already sold theirs by when tax time came along so they sent in a picture of the owners manual page that declares the GVWR.

Submitted a picture of my door jam along with my protest on April 20th and so far all I've gotten is acknowledgement of receipt of the protest and the protest number.

For those that protested and "won", how long did the process take?

Call them. It’s likely sitting in the protest queue. They may be able to review and push it through to the next step on the phone (they did for me last year).
