Perhaps this feature might go live in swaths by order number. Let those getting trucks in the next 90 days have 10 days to fiddle and settle. Then the next 90 days group, etc.Oh man, real-time delivery updates are going to KILL them. There is no way they can plan for demand and actually achieve it. If LG/BM is getting earlier deliveries, then everyone will switch to that. Somewhere, the others will get bumped back, or they will not be able to meet their promises. Is Rivian really setting themselves up for another communications failure? I guess we will see.
BTW, if it came from CS, it is most likely incorrect.![]()
When my preorder reverted to the original price the interior color was not what my choice had been. I changed it back and didn’t notice anything indicating a change in delivery the date estimate. What should I be looking for?Chatted with a service rep today because I had some questions about when I would see my configurator back up and running within my account (I had cancelled my order after the price hike, and then reinstated it a couple days later). I know people who didn't cancel can already see their pricing reflects pre-March 1 prices, but I was told if you cancelled and then reinstated, it would be a little while longer and we'll get an email.
Another update I got from the rep is that, within the configurator you will be able to make changes (exterior color, interior color, etc..) and you will be able to see in live time how it would affect your delivery window. This is good to know as I am going to switch from OC interior to MB - although I don't think switching to black would affect anything given all the trucks have black interior right now.
Hope this is helpful for anyone in same situation

It would big (really really big) news if anyone at Rivian would tell if and how delivery was affected. Nothing along those lines is posted on the Rivian site today. Many have asked customer service about the schedule impact of making config changes, the answers reported here have mostly been something like "any change might affect your delivery date but they (customer service) don't have any specific information to firmly indicate if it will or not, or by how much".I changed it back and didn’t notice anything indicating a change in delivery the date estimate.
Interesting, was curious about this to see if they were in the middle of clearing backlog after holding them for a while or if they could sustain it, seems like maybe they can't if they've cleared out the ones near the plant?Normal lot was near empty on Tuesday. I could get a really good view as most of the train cars were gone.
