As soon as it was announced some Superchargers were going to be opened to all, a lot of Tesla owners felt blindsided. But I did educate them on how this would be a good thing for accelerating the transition to EVs and that we should be gracious hosts. You should be communicating with your fellow Musk fans to educate them on what is now allowed at the 15,000 superchargers opened to Ford/ Rivian. They obviously aren't paying attention.
I'm not so stupid as to think I could single-handedly prevent situations such as that shared by the OP, but I do think it helps to get other people thinking about the bigger picture, rather than get angry that they might have to wait 10-15 minutes once in a while.
I just don't understand the "us vs. them" mentality. We're all in this together, regardless of which brand of car you bought.
A number of Tesla stans feel slighted because they helped fund the Supercharger Network with their purchases. Still, I encouraged them to share and work with, not against, their fellow EV compatriots. But you have to realize, there will always be unreasonable assholes like "Mr. Muscleshirt". Nothing I can do about the likes of him.
