Connect+ hotspot speed

I am putting this in our regional Canadian section as I suspect this could vary geographically: I am getting pretty slow speeds on mine in the Montreal area. Consistently getting around 15 Mbps vs 75+ for other LTE devices when I connect them to Rogers.

Anyone else?

I've noticed a slowdown after the recent update (31) - Not necessarily that the internet is slow all the time rather when I first start the car, it now takes a few seconds to 1 minute to get data to stream audio vs. before it was almost instant.

I was told by Rivian that Connect+ uses Bell rather than Rogers - that might explain something.

I've never used the Rivian hotspot, as we have unlimited data service on the phones. But my experience with other cars has been that they always feel slower than expected. No idea why.

Thanks for all the replies. I tested it with 5 devices watching HD on YouTube at the same time, it worked – yet it always gets pretty dismal SpeedTest results. Might be some kind of traffic throttling.

And yes, same here – I have more data on the family’s phones that I know what to do with… But Ill take connect+ for simplicity. Now if only Rivian would just put the whole ABRP interface or at least data on board and give you ABRP premium as part of Connect+…

If Bell/Telus network is use, that would explain, at least here in the Gatineau area, it probably the worst network to use.
