I vote for KITT back next year...this time with the charging LED front and rear bars running off and on. Was cool to have kids and adults look in awe at the dashboard with the animated UI. Would be even cooler to blare the theme music while parked with front and rear LED strip sweeping back and forth and bedazzle them with the in-car interface when they look into the vehicle

See you all next Halloween!
In the same deja vu complaint threads? ? One thing is clear: No matter what Rivian does or doesn’t, they can’t please everyone. So they should just stick to what they believe in. “Ignore the noise”, as RJ said.

I want Jingle Bell Rock theme...

But seriously, the Knight Rider and the BTTF "costumes" were great and perfect for all year around.

What other iconic vehicle shows/movies could they emulate?
Star Trek could be fun but I wonder about the cost of using copyrighted music/images.

I think a Jetsons theme could be fun.

I think themes requiring licensing would be better saved as monetized opportunities for Rivian—i.e. for TV/Movie promoters to pay Rivian to co-develop, implement and distribute. This way, it's additional revenue for Rivian. The experience would remain fun and accessible only while parked, just like the Halloween costumes. And, not billed to any Rivian customers. Nor is participation mandatory. It's there for a limited time, whether you choose to play with it.

The downside is this [in-vehicle advertising] could easily be a slippery slope if not carefully managed.

Exactly this. If double rainbows happened every day, you wouldn’t have this:

Whenever there's a rainbow, there are multiples of rainbows, but they're verily personal based on where you're standing and observing said rainbows.

Rainbows are just optical physics.. Whether or not you can optically see them based on the relative intensity and a bunch of other factors. But in fact, rainbows come in orders, generally around 5; they're just too dim to see. They even discuss the phenomenon in that video. "That's how you behave if you don't know physics."

Especially relevant part is at the 9:00 mark:
