Cross Bars are Noisy Solution

having noise from cross bars?

I have a 911 I put cross bars on to carry skis. They made a loud noise. Porsche gave me these rubber strip that went in the bar. This gave me an idea. I didn’t have rubber strips, so I just put black duct tape along the slot. Noise gone. I will now do a better job and make look nice, but putting tape over the bar slot will get rid of the noise from cross bars.
