The bad part about EV offroading is that you don't get nearly the audible feedback about what's happening on the ground. You have to make a lot of inferences, and those generally come from experience. An ICE hitting this obstacle will immediately let you know you need more power when the frequency of the motor starts dropping as soon as it starts pointing the vehicle up. You have to react off feel in an EV. You don't get that feel until it's practically too late.From the video: either the driver just let go of the accelerator for some reason, or the CT software and/or motors aren’t performing properly. This video seem to be the first instance where the truck doesn’t get proper traction off-road.
But a stock 4Runner and Subaru Crosstrek made it over, and both of those drivers were new to off-roading too. That’s in the full video.
