From the video: either the driver just let go of the accelerator for some reason, or the CT software and/or motors aren’t performing properly. This video seem to be the first instance where the truck doesn’t get proper traction off-road.

But a stock 4Runner and Subaru Crosstrek made it over, and both of those drivers were new to off-roading too. That’s in the full video.
The bad part about EV offroading is that you don't get nearly the audible feedback about what's happening on the ground. You have to make a lot of inferences, and those generally come from experience. An ICE hitting this obstacle will immediately let you know you need more power when the frequency of the motor starts dropping as soon as it starts pointing the vehicle up. You have to react off feel in an EV. You don't get that feel until it's practically too late.

The fact that the subaru made it with relative ease is telling.

On another note, I may have to hit up this park with my T. It's only about an hour and a half away and I'd like to finally get some offroad time now that I've ditche the 21s

...I have to believe that some of the advancements in performance, steering, and 48v LV are lost in the noise of a hard miss on range, 4860s, pure hideousness, leaky vault, life threatening edges, single option tires, ugliness, poor headlights, and crappy styling.
I like how you tripled down on styling

I've seen in videos (forget the actual source, may have been out of spec) that the mechanical lockers that are included front and back on the dual motor cybertruck are not yet functioning and will require a software update to be enabled. Surely, with lockers engaged, the video would show a different result.

EDIT: this is mentioned in the video but nobody else seems to have noted it in the comments here.

While lockers may help, they’re certainly not needed here. Subaru doesn’t have lockers; it has open differentials.

Cybertruck should have been able to make this without lockers

Lockers?! Lockers?! This thing should be locked away in the dustbin of history.

Plus this Yootoober Goober is giving off Lord of the Ring type miniature people vibes (link below), which also clearly demonstrates the height limitations of the slanted roof in the dumpster truck.

On the plus side, this vid may sell a few Subies.

Rivian R1T R1S cybertruck's offroading capability seems to be rather limited? 1705963808609

It really seemed like if it had lockers it would have made it. I'm not sure the third wheel really had much traction. Maybe the wheels don't have enough vertical compliance (I forget the term) to conform to the surface as well as the other vehicles there, at least considering the much larger footprint. I bet a lifted Model Y AWD could have made it. ;)

Not true. It's the most successful mode of transportation ever invented. It's a "game changer" :lipssealed:
I'd like to see a review on how many bags of trash it can store and haul. Plus, how many cans of green (or blue) spray paint it would take to paint it.

I would guess 13 bags of trash. 8 in back and 5 passengers.

I think you missed absolutely terrible charging curve (best from 0-50%), & loud drivetrain db while towing(Jerryrig video).

The offroad capability is also hampered by the low hanging cyber diaper (borrowed quote) below the bumper.
