Hi,

So I have had my 2025 Dual Standard R1T for about a month now and running into an issue that maybe someone else has seen/fixed. First week everything was fine but earlier this month I have run into an issue where anytime I get into the truck and put it into reverse the main screen says to shift into park and reset the software. After the reset I can drive normally and no issues until the truck goes to sleep which seems to be the thing that will cause me to need to reset again. I have reached out to Rivian and have a ticket in, but no mobile service available until May and was given no availability date at either of my closest service centers (both about 100 miles away). There have been a few updates since this started and it still happens, I have tried multiple hard resets, and multiple deep sleep resets.

Anyone seen this kind of thing, know of a fix? Any ideas?

I have not heard of anyone having to do this every time they drive, or specifically put their Rivian in reverse. Something is definitely off. I would call service back and be politely pushy and tell them May is not acceptable for an issue like this.

In my experience depending on the severity of the issue, Rivian will typically reach out within a few days to go over the service ticket and escalate the request accordingly.

I haven't heard of anyone having this issue, if you can, please update this thread as this progresses.

So they called me back twice today. First to try and setup a mobile service sooner, and then called back less than an hour later saying they need it in a service center and want me to bring it in as soon as I can. Did not sound like an emergency, but they were going to make it fit into schedule. I take it in this Friday. Kind of getting mixed messages, not an emergency, but they called me 3 times and each time escalating what needs to be done. lol

Yeah, that is confusing! But it’s encouraging they are being proactive now, especially in SoCal with the service centers so backed up. They will get you fixed up. Hopefully it’s just a software issue??

They actively triage their tickets and prioritize issues that impact safety and/or usability over annoyance or inconvenience issues. This sounds like a normal part of this process.

Not normal and not an issue I have heard about before. Glad Rivian is getting you in for service ASAP.

I had that exact issue. It was a bad AXM module. I was having to perform resets multiple times daily.
