I’m on 2023.14.0 and I have a couple of issues when the vehicle is in reverse:

- garage door button works, but when it pulls up the garage list, I sometimes get no response when I press the door that I want. Before 2023.14.0, it was slow, but now it sometimes doesn’t accept the garage press until I switch to park.

- can’t adjust climate temp

Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, my climate temp and seat heating/cooling is unresponsive in reverse.

Always been that way. It's a little frustrating but I understand why, they don't want you playing with controls when reversing. Quite a ways back they enabled the garage door display but that originally wouldn't come up either.

It's always been that way for me. I think it's intentional, as you are only supposed to be reversing for a limited amount of time and they want you to focus on what you're doing. IDK whether or not it's necessary but it isn't particularly bothersome for me as I am only reversing for that limited amount of time.

If these behaviors are intentional and not bugs then I understand the good intentions. However, I’d hope that anyone who drives a vehicle, parks in a garage, and has a garage door opener would understand why locking out garage door opener controls in reverse will potentially cause a problem 50% of the time unless you have a garage where you can drive in and drive out without ever needing to use reverse.

I hope that the climate controls would NOT be locked out in reverse if the passenger seat is occupied. Can anyone test this?

All things considered, I think any development time spent on the logic behind this would have been better off spent elsewhere. Unless I somehow missed the huge volume of news stories regarding crashes caused by people adjusting climate control or using their garage door opener while in reverse. Maybe this is more of an issue because of the touchscreen interface, but then make it a feature which is on by default and can be turned off in settings after acknowledging the risks.

They should be, the controls pop-up and obscure the entire camera display. I think they legally have to do this because of the regulations surrounding backup cameras. It's too easy to accidentally hit the middle button when you're adjusting the temp.

No, I’m talking about the temperature for the driver in the lower left and the seat heater/cooler. They obscure nothing.

They are most definitely still locked out.

Garage door controls are not locked out in reverse, but everything else is.

I know the backup camera view is a mandated safety feature, but is there a requirement that it occupy a percentage of screen area? I thought there was a minimum size requirement but this was a while ago and I may not be remembering correctly.
