Correct - that would be what i would have done if it was before september... but if there is any type of hiccup and now it gets delivered in 2023 - I potentially lose $7500 federal tax credit. Supervisor did call me and is looking at possibly transporting the vehicle to Nevada to be able to legally register from Nevada to Colorado. California is a state that requires any vehicles delivered in California to collect California Sales Tax.I'd pass on that truck and ask to be put back into the queue where you were before. Your guide made the mistake so Rivian should be able to reset you and make it right. They can easily sell that vehicle to another person in CA.
Keep your $7k + tax break in CO.
