Disabling the R1T bed escape button?

I get that Rivian didn’t put that button there just because. Otherwise, it would have gone the way of the 12V outlets, to save a buck. I mean, ya know how often you hear about somebody being trapped in the bed of their truck, right ? Nevertheless, once they have fulfilled their obligation, I would still like a really easy way to disable it. I promise to re-enable it once I get my tonneau cover ?

Dude. Nobody can be trapped in a space that isn’t enclosed. Disabling it when the cover is open wouldn’t be against any laws
