The higher the ride height the lower the range. Sport mode, if your equipped with performance dual motor raises power output and will lower range.

For the best range on Dual motor use All purpose mode and set auto ride height which will switch to the low ride height above 55 mph for increased efficiency.

On dual, sport mode keeps the rear motor engaged...that's the main reason you'd see worse efficiency. But unless you just have an abnormally heavy foot, I get basically the same efficiency/range in sport as I do in all-purpose (on my quad).

Correct. I regularly do a stretch across the desert that is a bit over 300 miles. It was a no-go in my QM; Even hypermiling.

I did the trip yesterday in my DM. It was a piece of cake, and I even picked up my speed on the second half after seeing that my very conservative 68 mph was really not needed.

All the little losses in the systems really add up over a long run like that. Rivian has done a great job of trimming those back in this new model. Running a constant speed, with one single high efficiency inverter powering one motor has trimmed the losses about as low as I think you're going to get for a vehicle such as this one.
