Driver + has a bug in fw2025.10.1. it started beeping on the highway before a short highway area without painted lines of about 100 ft. (Between Erie,PA and Buffalo,NY.) It beeped twice, then started braking the vehicle violently before i had even the time to realise what was happening and why. I did not have more than 2-3 sec to act. Usually there is more than 5 sec to disengage driver+.
Then driver + could 'not be reengaged until the next drive’. So i had to get out of the highway stop, get out and lock/unlock and start again. Then on the highway again, adaptative cruise control /driver+ would ā€˜not reengage untill serviced’. (See picture) So i had to exit the highway again and totally reset the car before the car would work again.

Needless to say my wife was not impressed during the last leg of this 640 mile trip.

I believe this FW has a problem to address. Punishment out of driver+ is already a pain but under such circumstances is unacceptable and only leads to loss of time for the driver in addition to the dangerous sudden braking with cars behind me.

Note i have my hands on the steering wheel at all times.

I was driving back from Vegas to LA and driver+ stopped working because the maps wouldn’t update, I spoke to Rivian service - they are helpful on the phone, and after a full reboot everything worked as it was supposed to.

YMMV, but so far not too many issues and rebooting the truck usually fixes it.
