That sounds about right.

Rivians may be assembled in a part of Illinois that occasionally sees cold weather. But they are designed in the part of California where they consider anything less than 65F to be too cold to go outside. It probably works fine in the coldest weather that the designers have ever experienced.

I see it getting more transparent and more "frosted" as you cycle it. I see a tree appear then disappear.

Sure, it may be "less than fully transitioning", but it's not completely doing nothing.

The title of this thread is wrong, reckless, and sends a bad message when it clearly works.

the experience in the vehicle differs a bit from what the camera sensor picks up. There is no discernible difference. at least to my eyes.

That noted, any difference is certainly a far smaller effect than how the roof works in warmer conditions.

I’ve owned this Gen 2 for 10 months and use the dynamic roof regularly, it’s certainly not clearing the glass anywhere near what it does normally. Feel free to duplicate and share your results.
