I can't recall the last time I had an issue claiming a warranty repair or replacement. Your claim is based on nonsense that apparently gets spread around?
Yeah, I'm the only one who has attempted a warranty claim on a product and not gotten one. Nailed it.

Most of us would also be disappointed, I would be. The OP apparently never tried to engage the vendor. Even if the item were out of warranty, it never hurts to try.

Nope, lemme post a rant to the “www”.

No need to beat anyone up. EV Sportline handled it and in a professional manner.

Once you post on a forum, we are all an open target.

As for my reply, it was rather polite. I had written more of my thoughts on this type of behavior, that to me, too many people feel entitled to express.

Actually, no need to post a very negative comment on vendor x without first reaching out to the vendor. I still call that common sense. The vendor never had a chance to look into the matter and possibly never might have, in many cases. Then others, though not all, might avoid purchasing from that vendor. Nah, that is rude, disrespectful and says a lot about the individual.

Thanks to EvS for working with the OP.

BTW: The OP did not even write, “my bad”, in their follow up post.

Unfortunately there are many companies out there that refuse to stand by their products. I think we all have become accustomed to that now, which is sad. @EV Sportline is not one of them.

No one is perfect 100% of the time, but they have been active here for a long time and always want to help when a customer has an issue. You just have to give them a chance before putting them on blast

I agree with you. I just got the impression that random people would start to tear apart the OP for scraps is all. EV Sportline should at least get the courtesy of being contacted like you said. It's not like they aren't all over this forum answering questions or advertising sales.

I'm curious what happens to the bad set once they're warrantied; do they get scrapped, or cleaned up as best as possible and resold as blems?
Ugly steelies still make good spares

I'm a big believer that seeing how a person/company reacts to a problem says more than if you just never had a problem. Obviously that's still better, but doesn't tell you as much.

As someone whose work depends on vendors providing goods and services, I would remind everyone stuff happens. How a retailer responds will gains or lose that customer for life.

I think the warranty for a lot of products is so full of caveats, loopholes, and hurdles to initiate a claim that a lot of people don't really believe companies honor them so easily. Seeing the outcome of this thread is refreshing.
This is exactly how I feel. I normally don't even bother trying to use warranties because I find these days most companies do everything in their power not to honor them. Just not worth the stress and I rather use my time on other things unless there's a lot of money involved. EV Sportline reaching out to proactively fix this has been quite refreshing indeed. They have already sent a new set of wheels to replace the defective ones I received.

I am very glad EV Sportline helped you, in spite of your negative post.

Because you think it is too stressful or not worth your time to seek a claim, you seem to feel your post is acceptable without trying to contact the vendor. Nah!

It might have taken you less time, and most likely less words, reaching out to the vendor. But, noooo it is so hard, time consuming to send an email or make a phone call vs the post you undoubtedly edited a few times before submitting it.

I have had many warranty claims denied. I still try, before posting a negative rant about a company.
