Nothing new on the guide front.Thats exciting! Have you had anymore guide contact lately?
Mine is updated too. No email that it was done. I had contacted my Guide 3 days ago about an update. No reply! My account page changed to this tonight.
IKRWish they'd let people outside whatever arbitrary radius Rivian has chosen to indicate they're willing to take delivery at a center. I bet a lot of people would be willing to travel to take delivery. It's asinine that 2022 reservations are taking delivery because of some arbitrary lottery.
I believe it has to do with individual state laws. Many states enacted restrictions on online vehicles sellers. (Tesla). If they are not a licensed dealer in the state they make them jump through more hoops. Like customers can’t take delivery at their place of business. That makes no sense. People buy vehicles out of state, all the time. Taking delivery out of your state shouldn't be a problem. If anything, having the vehicle delivered to you by Rivian seems like a larger problem.
That is incorrect. Interstate commerce is facilitated at the federal level. A state can’t tell you what you can’t buy in another state.I believe it has to do with individual state laws. Hummmmmm Right now they are trying to Pass HB1388 with Rivian's backing to allow Rivian to sell direct to consumers with out going through a dealer franchise. Currently state law in Washington prohibits this. Interstate Commerce Be Damned. That is incorrect. Interstate commerce is facilitated at the federal level. Correct, WA can restrict what companies/individuals do WITHIN the state. But they can't prevent you from going to ANOTHER state to buy a truck.Hummmmmm Right now they are trying to Pass HB1388 with Rivian's backing to allow Rivian to sell direct to consumers with out going through a dealer franchise. Believe it is only for people with estimated delivery datesI didn’t seem to get this email. Is it only targeted to R1T customers?
The customer support line is that it was only for people with estimated delivery dates (per the Dec 2021 email) in 2022. However, many of us have estimated deliveries for 2022 and never got this email for whatever reason.Believe it is only for people with estimated delivery dates
I had to send a couple of follow up message and copied Tony on the last one. I did get a response that they are aware of the issue and working on it. As a note I did receive the message sent out today.I sent an email to CS to see if they will look into it. I’ll update if they respond with anything of value.
