Any ideas on assists for someone with a bad leg who has trouble getting up into the truck. The handhold above the doorway is a bit awkward. Thought about getting an extension that could be attached to the handle (lots of these on Amazon):

My parents use a folding stool with a string tied to it. Place the stool on the ground, hold the string, step in and pull the stool up by the string. Then collapse the stool and store on the floor.
