R1T is getting towed for fixes on Monday. Sure t will be like new again after service but I'm kinda done with Rivian I think.

Going order something else and sell this R1T in January.

Ah mainly on delivery had a dent that took forever to fix, some rattles to fix, and then the entire key system failed, requiring new bluetooht module in handle and more. That took 30+ days also. This who knows, hopefully they prioritized it.

That combined with looking at more traditional cars seems to have steered me to switch. I think I'm going to go with the BMW X5 50e for a bit, back to an SUV since we already have an F150. The tech in it far exceeds that of Rivian - safety systems galore, the HUD, seats, interior build quality, Andorid Audo, massaging, the leather in it, thigh/headrest supports, pano roof that opens, has a shade, and lighting, heated/cooled cupholders, etc. Seems off the charts a bit for same as a new R1T these days. Since I typically most days do a 30 mile round trip and it gets about 39/40 miles electric only, won't feel a hit.

Especially the mild hybrid and plug in hybrid BMWs are still struggling with early generation problems. Just go on to Bimmerpost and check how many of the folks there have bricked vehicles struggling with the 48V system tied to the ICE. BMW is still new to this game compared to others.

Was just going to comment this. If you’re going to switch to BMW just get the regular X5 and not the 50e. Too many issues currently. When I was debating making the jump I considered the 50e but after reading about all the issues on bimmer post I decided to stay with Rivian.
