Hi All,

I was curious if anyone knows how the $6K F&F discount is structured into lease deals. I was told the down payment field in the calculator is not going to provide a realistic impact as the F&F discount is taken off the MSRP of the vehicle, not the amount being financed for the lease.

I'm looking at an R1T Dual Large that's $75K with the calculator estimating $587 with a $6,000 down payment in the "Down Payment" field to simulate the discount. It seems I'm unable to assume the $6K will get me the $587 lease price and that it may be higher?

And is the $1,800 destination fee included in the $75,000 price that is advertised? Or is that going to add another $50 to the lease price once I follow through?

Thanks everyone. I know these questions get answered a lot so I appreciate the patience and help.

As I understand to your second question. The lease prices have the destination charge factored in but the MSRP you see does not.

I can speculate on the first but most likely if the MSRP is 75k and they knock 6k off then your lease is on a $69k vehicle. So if the residual is 60% (guess) then your lease will be $2400 lower over the term. For example this is what someone posted elsewhere:

I had the same question, and just plunked down a deposit on a lease last week for a 2024 DM R1T with the large pack.

Putting the 6k in the down payment spot will give you a good estimate of the lease price, but does not include the $1800 destination fee or the taxes for whatever state you are in.

For example, my estimate with the 6k down payment was about $75 a month less than the payment ended up with the destination fee and taxes in Connecticut.

I’m highly considering a Rivian but what scares me is the non refundable deposit without seeing all the numbers. So F&F goes a long way
