I noticed that the rivian woofer which is underneath the back seat has this plastic saying “dealer must remove protective cover” . Should this be removed for better audio?

For better audio? No, but that sort of film turns to a sticky mess of left on a long time.

its probably there to protect from scratches, doubt it impacts sound

There are two kinds of people in this world: the ones who leave protective plastic on for as long as they own the item being protected in order to lovingly preserve it and the ones who gleefully rip off the protective plastic to maximize their enjoyment of the pristine item which was protected until they received it.

To those of you in the first group, I sincerely thank you for providing those of us in the second group the like-new experience we get when any of these items come into our possession. :)
