Does it feel like Rivian is less premium each model release/iteration. To me it seems like it’s headed in that direction as the company tries to be more profitable and making it more affordable. In the long run, can Rivian compete with Tesla (for example) if they are less premium. Personally, I will opt for Tesla - much much better navigation, software, mire service centers, and more chargers accessible to me.Yeah, but there are some knowns.. Someone asked this same basic question recently which got some good responses but for the life of me I can't immediately find it.
I know for certain that air suspension won't be in the R2 based on what I was told at the recent Nashville tour. Just about everything else will probably depend on what types of packages Rivian decides to offer and what the market will bear.
That being said, I'm with you - R1S isn't for me simply because of its size. If I can get an R2 with the same basic specs as I'd otherwise get on an R1S I'm going to be a pretty happy camper, even if it means paying much more for it. I'm already steeling myself to pay at least $60k to get what I want in my eventual R2....
