What he said. I had 21" on order and changed to 20" because of some of the posts here. One poor man with a flat got stuck in the middle of nowhere because they couldn't find a 21" replacement. I also had the Rivian charger but went with the Emporia charger. It supposedly works well with solar which is what I have.
Have you found that there is really a 50 mile range hit for the 20” vs 21” wheels? Is it just the extra rolling resistance of the more aggressive tread? Can you get the range back on 20’s by getting different tires?

I drive 15 miles to work so it’s not like I need more range. Just want to inderstand the limitation.

I have owned the car for approximately 4 hours so, I don't know about the range difference. I have read it's about 30 miles but wonder about all the variables involved. I eventually plan to replace the AT with AS. That should give better range. At that small an amount, I am not concerned.

Dayum. Lol. Well that's what I paid at Xpel here in San Antonio.
Ya not much more in Orange County. 3200 for PPF front and 4 coats of ceramic everywhere else.

Either change to 20's or drop the underbody shield. No point in being set up to off road without the off road tires.

I took the charger of my order and got a chargepoint home flex because Oregon gave a $500 rebate on it and I’m glad I did. I like the home flex, it works fine, charges at 11kw and works with my power company to avoid peak time events.
With all that being said, the new Tesla charge anything charger looks like a pretty decent deal.

Yes. I swapped the AT+ for the Nokian One HT road tire and got my range back. I’ll just use the AT+ for winter driving.

What's your reasoning? I'm prepping for delivery, and have the wall charger at $500 in my order. Been thinking about removing it, but I figure with only 1 EV in the house, why would I? Are there features that other chargers at the same price point offer, that the Rivian one doesn't?
ChargePoint and JuiceBox have the ability to communicate with the utility company for a discount during off peak hours. The ChargePoint app gives a lot of information, like how much each charge cost based on your utility cost. The rivian charger is just a simple plug.

Don't get the Rivian charger. Get a ChargePoint Flex or another smart charger.
Newbie question here. I took the Rivian charger off my order after seeing everyone’s reviews and the house we bought already had the Nema outlet. I was planning to just use the included portable charger for now but is there any reason I should go ahead and pull the trigger on a juice box/Tesla/charge point charger?

The included charger will only charge at 32 amps. A hardwired charger can go up to 48 amps and a NEMA charger can charge at 40 amps. I have a NEMA Chargepoint Home Flex outside of my house and use the Rivian portable charger plugged into a 240v Nema inside the garage.

It makes sense that throughput would increase. Outside of that, though, I am wondering if I am I wrong to assume that outside of some nice features like communicating with my electric company, analytics, and ability to control with my phone that the portable charger should do the job fine?

Based on our current drive patterns I am not sure we really need the ability to charge much faster than the 16 miles an hour I’ve seen mentioned online from the plane Jane 240v portable charger.

Don’t get me wrong, I want to justify a smart charger but I’m trying to see what all I would be missing because if I read correctly it seems like even with the pro take charger I can schedule to charge off peak hours.

You're not wrong. I use mostly the portable charger inside my garage and use the outside ChargePoint only when I leave the truck outside or if I need 100% charge for road trips.

Changing to All season will improve this, I am getting 300+ miles on the 20"AT with mixed hwy & mountain pass driving..
Could stay with 21" & use the savings for aftermarket or take off 20" (20" offer more rim protection)
i would keep the underbody shield after seeing some of the unprotected damage reports, I would also go with the floor matts.
