Finally something Gen 1 has that Gen 2 doesn't - Climate Scheduling

Things that make you go hmmm. I pulled the manuals from the Rivian site (Here) to see if I'm insane

Gen 1 R1T - Comes with the ability to schedule when you're going to drive... It's right there under the climate controls

Gen 2 R1S - not so much it seems currently.

Went ahead and did a chat session, first person was like "ummm here talk to a service center" - next person said hold on let me look, came back and said yes it is, but after I questioned that as it's completely missing in the owners manual and my R1S / app they said they needed to get ahold of others and would call me back.

So other Gen 2 people out there... do you have it? I'm currently installing 2024.27.30 on the R1S now so maybe it was a "feature" of 2024.23.30?

Nope, it is when I flip to my truck but when on the SUV it's missing. Rivian support is escalating it to another team as they're stumped on why it's missing since they claim it's suppose to be there. (Yet completely missing in manual)

No, Gen 1 with climate schedule.

I’d be shocked if others respond having the same issue.

I have the same issue on my Gen2 R1S; I didn’t notice until the temps dropped and I wanted to enable it in the morning.

I’m curious what you find. I’ll submit a support ticket

We picked up our Gen 2 R1S on Saturday. Can confirm there is no option for climate scheduling.

Same. I thought I was just a dope and didn’t know where to find it. Turns out, I might be a dope but that doesn’t explain my problem with climate scheduling.

Still, scheduling would be nice but I’d rather that we all get valet mode soon.

Response from support is that Climate Scheduling “is in the pipeline for Gen2 software, and will be released with a future update.”

He didn’t have details on when or what version the feature would be enabled for Gen2; maybe others can find out more.

Yes, Gen2 will get it soon. Its a great feature that we used for a winter road trip back in Jan. Very useful in those conditions.

Seems strange to NOT have it in the Gen2

Dont the Gen 2’s have heat pumps? Maybe they a re just finishing up some software issue related to heat pump efficiency integration?
