My money is on Rivian being first, I don't think we'll see CTs until 2022.

I agree with this, though I think CT will be able to rapidly catch up and pass the Rivian deliveries (order conversions permitting) due to Tesla's ability to supply itself with batteries and other vertically integrated components. Plus their willingness to deliver cars that maybe aren't quite "finished". I say this as someone who took one of the first Model Xs off the line, so it's from experience, not a distaste for the brand.

Yep, they fixed it... For 3/6/20 preorder date, your raw order number would be around 43K & actual place in line around 23K.

finally pre ordered, i know i'm going to be way down the list, but it gives me a chance to save up.. lol i can't find pre order number though.. has anybody got the stuff they said they would like to send you? and i wonder if it's different for the first in line vs last. my boss got a free wall charger with his model 3.

Pre-ordered on 9/19/19. I'm planning to wait until late 2021/early-22 regardless of place in line though, so not overly concerned with my place in line.

As mentioned previously, doesn't work any longer. Also as an aside, the sysem will let you order either the truck, or the SUV. If you chose one vs. the other, it's simply a place in line. I confirmed as originally I wanted the SUV then changed my mind. Contacted them and they explained the system and that nothing had to be done or changed.

I wish I had seen this earlier. I wanted the R1T and put a pre-order for one in last month, though without the advance consent of my lovely bride. Turns out she prefers the SUV, so with discretion being the better part of valor, I put another pre-order in for an R1S.

I'm surely pretty far down the list for delivery for either order, but will probably just hold on to both to see what happens. One positive is that by the time Rivian gets to me (late 2022?), the chances are good that most of the production glitches will have been fixed. And hopefully by that time, the charging network will have been built out a bit more so I can tow my T@B Boondock to some more remote places.
