Are you sure?? I tried that the other day, but the battery didn't seem any warmer...?

It will get things started in the right direction, using the battery to warm the cabin begins the battery warming process. The battery is a huge thermal block however, so movement is slow.

Don't expect as effective a solution as you see in the Tesla's, but it does help.

Appears the vehicle is conditioning the battery prior to departure when the climate control is activated.
