First time at a RAN charger. Didn’t work.

I mean minor issue, tbh. But just checked, 1c offline in app. Says available. Has been offline since they opened too. My charge on 1b started immediately. Im guessing maybe you started on 1c, didn’t work but it made your vin be registered as charging and wouldn’t let you charge in another spot. Just a guess.

I went to these RAN chargers this morning before work and 1c still says available on the charger itself but offline in the app. I used 2a and charged ~10 minutes without any issues; charging started immediately and topped out at 198kWh (49% > 62%)

Thanks for the info on the Greenville charger. Our DIL is visiting with their truck and I know she will be over that way. And we will be also in the future. Now we know to avoid C!

You might want to open a ticket. This happened to me a couple of months ago during my first trip to a RAN, and it turns out they had to replace one of the modules. I had to insist that there was a problem with the car, as the person who answered my call was dismissing it as a fluke. I had tried at several stalls, two locations in Oregón and one in California, and it was a no go on all of them. I was able to charge at EA, EVgo and EVCS in the meanwhile

I am having the exact same issue. Stopped at the charger in Happy Valley, OR and couldn’t get it to start. Watched 8 other Rivians use the same stations I was trying while Rivian service was telling me it was a charger issue and not a vehicle issue. I then drove across the lot to a Volt charger and it worked fine. Now charging at high speed at an EA charger. Also my first visit to a RAN. Any other details you can provide on what the issue was? I want to get it right when I open a service ticket.

The day I picked up my R1T I drove by the new RAN in Portland just to make sure DCFC was working. No charge/Red light on 2 stations! Then I realized I’m the dummy because the truck was still above 80% and the charge limit was set to 70%. Changed the limit and it worked great!
