Exactly this - marketing ploy. They want you to get hooked on RA in the hopes you continue connect+. That's why it's 60 days, not just 30....

From what I'm seeing of reports on early RA, they *REALLY* should have waited for the bugs to get worked out before giving the free trial.

Cell service where I live is spotty. Is there any point to Connect+ at all in that situation?
