Wow, $4,500! Yikes. Spares are $600 each ($2,400 to buy 4 of them brand new) (based on my original customer pricing). I guess $750 to buy them as a new, non-reservation holder customer, so $3,000 total)

So do you really think every other wheel is $4-500 cheaper? Either way, I posted that in response to someone else who needed validation for some reason that he knows very certainly the cost of the wheels and tires from Rivian.

I wasn't calling you a liar.

My service center said "We're not doing this." I legitimately wanted to know which service center *was* doing this so I could wave it in my service center's face.

On that note, the service forms you posted had enough redacted that I *still* don't know which service center is doing this. I legitimately would appreciate knowing!

I think building a good relationship with your service advisor and guide goes a long way. It feels like Tesla service all over again, where one location sets a different standard than another. From what I know, 75% of management in Rivian have never worked in the automotive industry and so they are clueless as to what correct procedures are, if there are any already established.

If anyone can find these same wheels and tires for $600 per, buy them all! I'll then give you $700 per to take them off your hands... Have you tried to replace a wheel on a modern BMW? What makes one think a unique factory offset wheel from a boutique manufacturer and a weird sized 21" tires should sell for cheap?

Exactly what I'm saying. It seems no one has ever tried buying a individual wheel and tire at any other OEM after buying the car with any optioned wheels.

I mean...the 21" tire alone is $415 on tire rack.

I thought it was very clear that including the spare in your build means you're getting a substantial discount on it.

I think people really are stuck believing they can get these wheels for $600 a piece. Maybe the wheel itself but not the full assembly.

Since I need a matching spare I called Service. They are going to get back to me with a price and availability for a 20" Dark AT. The guy said that the last one he saw go through the service center was over $1400 for a single tire and wheel combination. That price makes sense as the tires are $400+ each and the wheels are $1000 in the configurator for the dark 20's. There is nothing inexpensive about these trucks.

Yep. That's why I bought 3 giant boxes of Donuts when I picked up my truck. My service center has been great. I had to go back for them to install my spare tire (that I bought at time of purchase) and they had me in and out super quick.

Also I have no idea why people are questioning the price of wheels when purchased after the fact through the service center. The invoice speaks for itself. Bizarre reactions here sometimes.

Rivian has still not released pricing on wheels and tires, so all we had to go on was what they decided to charge for a full spare wheel and tire assembly. Even post-3/1 a full size 21" spare wheel and tire costs $750 to add to your order. The other non-dark wheels cost $900, and the darks cost $1000. That's all we had to go on for pricing.

Edit: It will be really interesting to see where the prices end up once they list on their Gear Shop - my guess is closer to what you have on your service invoice, but who knows ...
