Our G2 R1S goes in tomorrow for the blinker and headlight recalls. According to my advisor the headlights get a computer module replaced while the entire blinker assembly gets replaced. We have a full frontal PPF done by a 3rd party shop.

Do the service centers have the ability to apply new PPF? The quote to get our new blinkers redone by the 3rd party shop is around $150 which seems pretty high. I don't want to be unreasonable knowing Rivian's money troubles but I also don't think we should have to shell out another $150 for new PPF. If the service centers have PPF I'm going to ask them to do the blinkers.

I had the recall done by mobile service a few days ago. I watched.
The front bumper cover comes off with a collection of screw and snap connectors.
The two blinker assemblies are replaced. No other parts were replaced. Nothing was done related to my headlights. Took maybe an hour and a half.

Thanks. Do you think the Xpel on our front bumper will be trashed from the removal/replacement?

I don't have any experience with PPF. The piece that comes off is a pretty big piece of not so rigid plastic. So it gets flexed during disassembly and assembly. If the PPF is OK with that, then it should be fine.
The piece that comes off goes from wheel well to wheel well right to left, and then from the bottom of the light bar to below the tow hooks top to bottom.
The turn signal assemblies mount to that plastic piece.

Used G2 here. For whatever reason the original owner had everything up front tinted. Blinkers, lightbar (glass roof inside which has come in handy) needless to say mobile service did not offer to re tint my blinkers. I would assume it'd be the same if they had PPF.

Car manufacturers aren’t liable for your mods and won’t replace the film. You can buy that from @twraps and DIY, or go back to you chosen shop. The PPF on the body panel should be fine, it can bend obviously.

Rivian reimbursed me the full cost ($$$$$$) of my pro installer reapplying PPF and ceramic coating plus new badging to my R1S pass. doors and rear panel and all afected trim pieces after fixing the corrosion issue.
Anything with PPF that Rivian has to replace through no fault of my own I again shall make sure Rivian pays to have PPF-ceramic reapplied to it. Rivian's financial situation, I could not care less about if I tried.

I dropped by my installer and they will do the blinkers for $60. Not a big enough deal to rock the relationship I have with my local service center. They are great. Now if the bumper needs to be redone I think I'll rock the boat.

$60 is not bad at all. I too would not waste my time going after Rivian for $60.
I sincerely hope that Rivian makes you whole and that you are happiest with your ride in the end.
Best wishes!
Please let us know how it all turns out.

My front corner triangle glass panes leaked from factory.

Rivian replaced them without any fuss whatsoever.

However, previously to realizing this issue, I'd had them tinted.

Rivian refused to reimburse me for the tint, since it was aftermarket. Basically my call was 'we'll replace them, but not the tint. Or we'll leave them there and leaky. Your call.' Obviously I had them replaced.

So, it's at the SC discretion whether they'll reimburse or reapply aftermarket; or they've changed something since I had that issue. Or I just didn't fight hard enough. Hard to say.

Glad they made you whole, though! Hopefully this is the policy moving forward.
