The mobile service guy was great! He told me he services NOVA and western MD. He didn't have a Rivian EDV... he had an ICE Ford van. He said the EDV don't have enough range for his different service locations but he did say they were great.
awe, I would have liked to have seen the van. Oh well, I'll take the on site service at least!

Saw one of the vans when we dropped off at the service center today. The place is packed inside and out with new customer deliveries and there had to of been 50 vehicles parked our back for new customers.

The guy was real nice . He lives on a farm in the area. He was very efficient. Enjoyed chatting with him.

Has anyone been into this SC for smaller work and waited? All I've seen in this thread are larger repairs with vehicle drop-offs, but I'm hoping to just wait in the SC if that's possible.

When I was dropping off their was a guy there with a small repair and they still planned on getting him into a rental and keeping his car for a week. He refused and they fixed it in 10mins.

Our work required a few hours, but they still told us 2-3 weeks and gave us a rental car. We dropped off Friday, it was ready Monday am. I think they are trying to under promise, over deliver. Also, the waiting area is small and it was full of new delivery customers both times we were there. You can try, but there’s no guarantee they’ll work on it while you wait.

Rivian must own stock in enterprise rent a car. I hated having to pump gas...but...these are first world problems I guess.
The Enterprise location they use told us they have (4) Rivian's in their rental fleet. They also gave us our pick of full sized SUV's as a rental. They "prioritize" the Rivian customers over other rental customers is what we were told. They definitely like that service center business.

Would sure be nice to get a Rivian or any EV as a rental if and when you need service.

Had a brake squeak issue. Was told I could wait until December or get it there the next day. After arranging and confirming I could get a loaner, I dropped off that day. I arrived at 4:30, but found out quickly Enterprise closed at 5pm.
A wonderful employee told me it could take 3-5 weeks and dropped me off at enterprise, who were awesome and stayed 15 minutes past 5pm to get me in a 2021 Tacoma.

they called the next day saying it was done. Was a great surprise since I was told the previous day it could take a month. Thank goodness because that Tacoma was a dog on the highway and I did not want to drive that for a month.

I also FINALLY got to see Limestone and Red Canyon in person. Glad I got yellow!

overall it was a good experience at service center but being told to wait 3-5 weeks then it being done the next day was a head scratcher.

They did the washer thing and allegedly cleared some debris from the brake areas. I couldn’t find anything when I took the wheels off, but admittedly did not try taking the caliper off.

That's great that they got it done right away. Sounds like it wasn't too involved. I feel bad for the folks at the SC having to work through such a backlog...but I also feel for other owners as well. We rescheduled our service to December because they aren't urgent issues.

FWW, I had a small issue (center console USB-C ports) and they came out to my home initially and then my work on the follow up call since it was half the distance to the Gaithersburg SC which I pointed out to them.
