Garage Door error again!

I love my Rivian but it’s getting frustrating with this reoccurring bug. This is the 3rd update where everything is fine but then the garage door prompt doesn’t work right.

I’m on the latest update and starting yesterday the garage door prompt comes up to open the right garage door. I have 2 garage doors the right side and left side. The Rivian parks on the left side but the toggle doesn’t work to change doors like it did before. I have to press the garage icons on the main screen to make it work.

The pop up garage door windows has also began to randomly popping up again when I’m far from home just like it did before the last update supposedly fixed it.

The garage door issue is a major annoyance since it is something I use multiple times each day.

I tried to fix that worked before of toggling on and off the prompt to no avail. I’ll try an infotainment reset next in hopes that resolves it. Anyone else having the same bug again on the latest update?

Try this: Go to Settings. Then Connect. Then Garages. Then select one garage. Touch the - (minus sign in the circle). Select Clear. Select the + (plus sign in the circle). Touch "Use this location.
Then do the same thing for the other door.

Not a long-term fix, but delete your right door so you only have one option if the Rivian only parks on the left. I know it's not ideal (and shouldn't matter - the Rivian should be able to handle multiple doors) but I'd be going mad too if it kept doing that to me.

Happens to me occasionally exactly as you are describing.
I just do a soft reset and that usually works.

My steering wheel button works again! the far right button operates my garage door as I programed it to do. Easier than using the dashboard touch screen. Thank you Rivian.

The latest update is the first one in a while that did not break my garage door controls, and I have 5 garage doors. Seems like every update in the past year has broken mine.

What phone are you using? Mine is Android Samsung Galexy S24+ Only once has the OTA stopped my steering wheel button from working. Yet, now it is working, why? don't know..

I did the infotainment system reset and it is back to working as it should. Hopefully it will stay that way.
