Hi All - I don't have my R1S, but like many others, am checking out peripherals as a (poor, unsatisfying) proxy as I wait for the real thing.

I live in CO. We get snow. Vehicles accumulate snow, which then melts in a garage. This has happened to me for a long time, and I've sighed and seasonally cleaned the garage floor, muttering invectives the whole time.

The R1S will be bigger then my current vehicle, and while not Nostradamus, my expectation is that a bigger vehicle will bring in more snow, or at least has the capacity to do so.

I've never had a garage mat to collect melting snow or dripping rain. I'm thinking this might be a worthwhile investment to go along with the R1S.

Any recommendations for a good garage mat that would fit the R1S, be good at collecting melting snow and associated road sludge, and easier to clean than directly cleaning the garage floor? I hope this is no more a unicorn than eventually getting an R1S.

Many thanks in advance for your feedback.

And, happy new year!

I live in Golden and got my R1S a few weeks ago. It actually picks up a lot less snow than my prior cars. The enclosed underbody picks up a lot less snow and I’ve been positively surprise how little snow I have in my garage compared to years prior.

Congrats on getting your R1S!

And, your experience is helpful to know for sure. Makes me think I'll hold off getting a mat until I've gone through a few snow storms with the R1S to see the effect.
