Gear Guard notifications never occur

The alarm bell icon never has the notification dot. Motion has triggered a video, but no notification.

Is it supposed to? What's the point? To come back to the car with a yellow dot any time I've parked in public?

It would be more useful if it recorded impacts while the car was parked and notified about those.

I noticed this, as well. My old Gen1 gave a notification when gear guard was triggered. Gen2 does not.

Same here. My 2023 R1T was fine, 2025 R1T, not so much.

Mine consistently will record motion events, but it doesn't put a dot on the bell every time that it does. Which is fine by me. Every single time I park in public it would be putting a little dot on there

One thing I will note, after getting back in the vehicle after being parked in a public place, it will sometimes take 30-40 seconds for the new recordings to pop up on the screen. They aren't always immediately showing

My 25 R1T doesn't notify me (nor record) any Gear Guard events. It also doesn't record any trips. The only time it records anything is when I push the record button.

I just noticed this difference between gen 1 (has notifications) and gen 2 (no notifications) cars. Pretty weird!
