I think the objection was to using the word “ghetto” to describe it. That word could have a negative racial connotation although I don’t believe you meant to have the reader infer one. Sketchy contractor would be a better term.
That inference never even occurred to me Donald.

"Sketchy" works for me ?

Owning your mistakes should be taken as a positive. He'll never do that again and showed responsibility. When hiring IT people, my favorite question is, "What is the biggest fuckup in your career and how did you handle it." If they claim none or try to wash it away, probably not hired. The guy who explained how he pressed button B instead of C, and destroyed all of the data held by a well known tire chain, then spent all night fixing it...hired.

My white framer/carpenter drives a van exactly like NY_Robs description. Except it was blue. Please stop "ghetto" has no race.

I just assumed it referred to the Jewish ghettos in Poland, and other places.

I’m not the one taking objection to it. Relax.

Don’t park downhill in the boonies at such big box stores. Just allows the idiots that are too lazy and generally the scum of the earth that can’t put their carts up to allow such carts to get up to 30 mph going downhill right into your vehicle.

I always yell at such idiots now when I see them not put up their carts, my family is sure I’ll get shot someday. So I only do it when they aren’t with me now. These are the only people that I won’t feel bad for when AI starts using them for batteries.

This 1000%!!

I'm always super aware of the slope of parking lots now since I've seen sooo many runaway carts get started by gusty winds. After that, gravity does the rest and it's .. BOOM, right in to some poor soul's vehicle. BJ's by us is the worst for that, unfortunately the parking lot slopes towards the boonies end, so if you park there to avoid other cars, you run the risk of runaway cart hits.

To do that as an employee / business representative and not say anything to you as a client / customer? Tar & feathers.
