Gear Shop Failure

I have spent several days trying to purchase several items from the Gear Shop, roof racks, 21” wheel center caps and the all weather mats. Everytime I attempt the purchase I get an error message. It does not matter what browser or system I use, same result. My payment method works just fine and I have used it with Rivian for service. Rivian shipped our EVSE to our home address, so that shouldn’t be the issue. The error message provides no useful information.

I have contacted our guide, customer service, and initiated a service request (at customer services suggestion) which was removed without explanation, the other avenues guide and customer service yielded basically the same result.



Every other business I deal with has no problem accept payment. This the first time I have entertained doubts about Rivian and it’s future viability because this issue does not bode well for profitability.

I had this problem with Apple Pay/Apple card in the past, it was something due to my address/zip code and a mismatch. My other CCs worked fine.

I had this issue when trying to order through my phone, but I tried it on my laptop and it worked fine. I'm not sure why it would make a difference but maybe worth a shot?

Did you try different payment methods? Pretty sure some 3rd party server isn't going to be the downfall of Rivian.

Saved card expired? Cookie or token error? I work in tech and hate vague error messages as much as anyone, but maybe try deleting and re-entering the card? Or use a new private browser window, or different computer?
