Clearing out all of the orders I have tomorrow and I still have 3 additional in stock if anyone was waiting to pull the trigger until I had stock, now we're finally there!
Do you still have stock on hand? If so I'll order today.

Well … I requested this update on my R1S Gen2 while they were servicing other stuff. They said they could do it but what I got was the same charger I have now (at a cost of $227.05). The invoice says they installed the generator 2 retrofit (part PT00590065-G). Can someone confirm that this is what already comes in a Gen 2?

Is there a part number for the Qi-2 pad that I can use to reference for them when I let them know?

Latest one does not have raised divider down the middle. Instead it has a slightly raised step-up platform to account for camera humps. @breeves002 has a picture in post #1 of this thread.

v1: no magnets, no raised platform
v2: v1 with addition of middle divider
v3: raised platform + two rings of magnets under the mat (and you can see the two circular shapes)

Out of stock again but more on order as is usual... Rivian just can't ship them fast enough.

Edit 8/21 instead of making a new post: 9 shipped from Rivian but all are already sold, I still have more on order.

Just installed mine in my '23 R1T. Used some automotive trim tools to remove the old unit (wow the old one is so much heavier than the new one). A little gentle persuasion and the new one fit in to place and works flawlessly. Magnet holds well and charging begins immediately, my old Gen 1 unit would never charge properly and always slide around. I highly recommend this upgrade if you like to charge your phone in the vehicle.

Original has crazy number of coils (see post #1) and none of them worked unless you just happen to align your phone perfectly to one of them and drove on a glass-smooth road. Rivian probably saved a good deal of cost in copper with the latest.

I remember not long after Apple introduced MagSafe, they said they will have even more amazing wireless charging tech—that didn't care where or how you placed your phone. That never happened. I think we can guess why. And Rivian probably learned the same lesson the hard way.
