Gen 2 Premium Audio : Try these EQ settings

If you have a Gen 2 R1S, with .43 or newer software update, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on these EQ settings.

For me, these settings get the sound to be much closer to the Meridian’s—I also have a Gen 1 R1T with this.

R1S sounds really good now (for me)! YMMV

I haven't measured the Gen 2 Premium system since the Atmos update but if it requires that amount of EQ adjustment, that suggests to me the system is tuned incorrectly.

What EQ settings are you using in your Gen 1 Meridian? When I posted EQ settings for the Gen 1 R1T Meridian—the best sounding Rivian system to date, imo—it required very little EQ because the tuning improved a ton. If you're using my recommendation, and this Gen 2 Premium EQ setting is what gets it close to sounding like your Meridian, then something is definitely off.

I'm still searching for someone in the Austin area willing to let me measure their Gen 2 Premium.

Gen 2 Premium is still definitely not tuned properly, but it’s better than before with the .43 update. I think Rivian can do more. But in the meantime, I think these EQ settings improve the audio.

My Gen 1 meridian is pretty flat on EQ and sounds great!

About the only thing I have set similarly is the 2k slider. Everything else is different including the 3D and dyn sound adj for me.

Has everyone turned off Spatial Audio in Apple Music on Gen 2 Prem cars? I did and the variability in sound from track to track has gone down.

That’s what I did too, when an atoms track played I can immediately tell if it’s going to sound horrible with to much bass. As the track starts very low and the vocals project only from the dash speakers. With spatial turned off on Apple Music it does sound much better.

What Dirac Live sound calibration did to my sound system at home is nothing short of stunning.

Did you ever find anyone to measure the Gen 2 premium? I'm in San Antonio and make regular visits to Austin. I'd be willing to let you measure my 25 R1S Premium sound.

Tried these settings in my Gen 2 quad. Definitely an improvement. I also kicked the balance to the rear a notch or two and that seemed to my ear to sound better as well. Looking forward to more improvements over time as out of the box, the gen 2 premium definitely does not sound as good to me as my gen 1 meridian did. And since my gen 2 is so much quieter inside, it's easy to notice .

thought all should like to try these settings from "Z" in this thread. for me it was as close to Meridian as I have heard yet and seems best around vol 14 +- as someone else suggested awhile ago. the neighbors tend to come out of the house wondering when it hits 18
