@Redmond Chad: Out of Spec Reviews did 100%-to-0% tests and found a maximum usable capacity of 132.1 kWh for Large Pack and 143.3 kWh for Max Pack.

Without towing anything, they found a 13% efficiency drop from 60 mph to 70 mph, and a 23.6% efficiency drop from 60 mph to 80 mph.

Hopefully these numbers will help you refine your calculations as far as you like.... :)

Thanks for the OoSR numbers too. They are pretty close to what Branden reported a year and a half ago in THIS thread. He reported 15% loss at 70mph, and 24% at 80mph. I expect the losses to be even higher when you are towing.

As noted in that thread, those numbers also make sense given similar numbers I had run for Teslas in 2009 and 2012. In 2013 I assembled as many of the factors that affect range as I could in one place; that's on another forum HERE.

And we just took a fourth trip towing the Safari Condo Alto A2124 [...] we did a 152.7 mile round-trip that used 74% of the battery. The R1S claims 1.5 mi/kWh.

Conditions: dry, with temperatures in the 50s. Some light winds. Fairly flat for the PNW. We went just over 60mph on the highway which was most of the trip; but even though traffic was good it says our average speed was 45mph...I'm not sure if it's counting stoplights.
We just took a fifth trip. This one was 180 miles under similar conditions to above (a few degrees warmer, a little more traffic), and similar results: 1.5 mi/kWh. The Rivian says our expected towing range at 100% charge is 194 miles.
