I've used one of these scat mats in the past to help train a dog to stop getting on the sofa. It ran on a 9v battery and since I tried it out myself to be sure it wouldn't hurt him, I can vouch that it just gives enough juice to get your attention... I have no excuse for the other 1000 times I forgot it was on the sofa and sat on it

You could just constantly keep the frunk filled with ice (and beer) and then the cold air would transfer to the hood and viola...kitty go find new sleeping spot!

This would be good for some of my coworkers....just saying.

Personally, make sure his claws are cut back so they don't scratch the paint and let them be. Itis probably nice and warm up there since heat rises.

I can vouch that it does work on humans too. It's slightly clear plastic and our sofa at the time was light gray leather, so I would wander over there and sit on it probably once per day. It makes you immediately jump back up. I'm 100% positive it got me more than the dog. He learned after like 2 attempts?
