Got the latest download yesterday and did what most people probably do. I checked out the Halloween themes. Last one I loaded was trunk or treat. Exited the vehicle and expected to hear some unusual sound but didn’t. The really scary part is I came back the following morning and 40% of my battery was drained, I’ve gott to believe that the display itself couldn’t have drained that much power. AC was set to 70°F but even that I’m surprised would consume that much energy on a cool night. Any enlightenment is welcomed..

I accidentally left one of the themes on overnight and only lost about 10% of my battery. It was probably user error…I just figured it would automatically shut off after locking.

I keep hearing folks state they leave themes on intentionally. Are the teams meant to stay on or to enable enjoy and turn off?

You have to shut your themes off when you're done with them, preferably with the app used to turn them on. Do that when you're done, and there are no problems.
Now we know. I don’t know how many hours people sit in their car just watching the same simulation, but maybe it should just auto turn off after 30 minutes.

I agree, they should shut off automatically or Rivian should include messaging about the impact of leaving them on.

Feels like they are designed for Trunk or Treats and Halloween car shows.

Copying over the turn off after X programming from the outlets would be a nice solution for all

But also I'm 3 updates back or so right now so ?

It’s probably the way it is for car shows or display purposes. It would be nice if they had a little notice letting you know the consequences of leaving it on.

We had a neighborhood car show this weekend and I left the themes running for 2.5 hours or so (which people loved), and it drained about 15% of the battery. Was surprised when I got in to leave, but good to know it's not just me. :)

We had a neighborhood Trunk or Treat last week and for 3 hours with the costume on (exterior lights and music at 75%), it went down from 305 miles to 302. You should definitely have your vehicle checked out.

Was the door opening and closing much? If so, did you turn off the HVAC?

I had the entire car open the whole time for people to take a look (all four doors, frunk, gear tunnel, etc.) and I didn't think to turn off AC. In my mind, I've read about people camping overnight on here with minimal battery drain so didn't think this would be that drastically different.

It was all good - not like I was stranded or anything. It was just a lesson learned about Halloween themes. :)
