Specifically anybody who has been inside a Rivian, can you ballpark if you think in the future the rear screen could become an entertainment option for the rear seats? It's hard to tell its size and usability in photos.

Built into the headrests would be the least invasive and provide the best viewing for the rear seat occupants.

I would doubt it. It isn't really big enough.

No way. Too small, too low.

I've never sat in the back seat of a tesla but I just saw a video of there's in the model S and it kinda looked similar. But again scale is tough in photos. Thank you for the input

No, it’s on the wrong spot for much else other than controlling things like climate, maybe audio. Would be neat to have Bluetooth audio for rear seat passengers controllable via the screen. Like my family aerostar from ~1994 with radio controls and headphone jacks in the middle row.

The Tesla media screen seems like a gimmick, to me. An iPad is a better solution. I’m curious to see what mounts the aftermarket will come up with. Rivian has a hook and USB-C already in the right position on the back of the front seats.

Agree, the cheapest iPad in a rear seat holder is infinitely more usable than a single screen you have to look down to use. And in Rivian's case I'd rather the software team spend their limited resources on almost anything else.

All you need is a case for the iPad and a piece of string to hang it from the clothes hook and you're good to go.

Any idea exactly which Scosche mount this guy used and how to attaches or adheres to the seatback hook?

Appears to be this one.

I plan to give them a try once I get my truck. Seems like a good option for road trips (don't know how well it would hold up to off-road, but the kids shouldn't need entertainment then anyway.)

That magnet may work when the truck is parked, but I doubt it'll hold the tablet with a few bumps in the road.

There are several vehicles that have USB-C plugs right in the rear headrests. I haven't looked, but its quite possible there are a number of aftermarket brackets/holders which can accommodate phones or tablets.

For example on the rear of some newer BMW seats, there is the same USB-C plug with pieces which look like you can attach something. BMW makes a part for it. Some photos here:

I haven't looked too deeply yet on the Rivian one since I don't have one yet :p, but I'm sure you'll start to see options very soon.
