Any updates on how to get service? When will the Oahu service center open?

So far so good. I have submitted a service request via the app. A rep from Rivian HQ called to gather more info and forward to our local service center(Oahu).

They will determine how to handle it, send out a tech or if it needs to be a SC appointment.

A tire balance issue will most likely be referred to a local shop. My wrist band will be linked remotely. And the panel alignment can be accomplished by a tech visit in many cases.

I’ll update once all are successfully completed.

So far I’ve only found the single number that get redirected. Much like Verizon, almost impossible to call your local Center/Store.

perhaps try submitting another service request in the app? I am curious how long it will take them to get to us. A year seems entirely too long.

Congrats on getting yours! Curious why you're already calling in service? I still have my concerns on service on kauai but hoping the service center is up and running soon.

On another note, do you recall what the cost was to barge it over from oahu?

I just got my R1S to Lanai one week ago. A few days now the brake light on the driver display illuminated, and won’t go off. So I had to submit a service request. Took a couple of photos and gave description of issue, and then the form asks where and when you would like to make an appointment. Closest service center is on the west coast. I skipped setting up an appointment, and will wait the few days it takes for someone to reach out to me. Hopefully it can be just a software update or something, as shipping the vehicle from Oahu to Lanai on Young Brothers was right at $1000. Vehicle runs fine, brakes are working as should be, although I rarely use them. Tried to do a vehicle reset, brake light still on. We’ll see?

Hey Riptide, are you a launch edition order with the wrist band key? or did you pick up a wrist band somewhere, and Rivian is able to program to your vehicle. Would love to have the wist band key even though not a launch edition.

I picked up the wrist band a couple years ago when a Riv employee was unloading a bunch. Some folks were successful in having those activated/paired. I’m still waiting, some folks have been successful, while some have not.

Aloha! Upcoming Hawaii R1S owner here. LA Silver Gen 2 R1S I bought from the shop to take advantage of my expiring pre-order voucher, which is supposed to be delivered by early August at the Oahu delivery center. I've been texting Justin, the Oahu delivery manager. He said that the Oahu Service Center is looking like a late 2024/early 2025 opening. Hawaii time. Looking forward to learning from you all, about Rivian ownership in Hawaii.

Aloha Hawaii Rivian owners. Does mobile service exist for neighbor island vehicles? As far as I can tell it doesn’t. If it did similar to the level of Tesla, I would order an R1T Tri. I contacted Rivian but never received a response. Mahalo.

Just a quick follow up. Rivian finally responded to my inquiry a month later. They obviously did not read my email since the response is just a standard form email about service in general, nothing specific Hawai’i. That’s too bad since I wanted to get an R1T.

I have been called by Rivian service to gather the details of my requests and informed specifically that the mobile service will be scheduled along with other on island vehicles and completed around the same time.

Interested to see how it works out. There is a chance we may be moving back to Kauai next year.

I’m in the same boat. Got a call from Rivian to get details on the issues, and was told they would contact me when they can schedule an appointment. Being on Lanai, there is only one other Rivian here, not sure if they have any open tickets or not, may take awhile to get mobile service out here.
