Yes, that's both the heated seat and cooled seat buttons indicating both are on. Only the cooled seats are actually on.

How did it get here? When I parked tonight, turned off the heated seats out of habit, and noticed they turned back on. At first I thought I over tapped, then did some tests, and they just always indicated they were on full blast:

A lock/unlock of the vehicle when I was out of it did not clear the screen. I'm assuming the heated seats are NOT actually on since I put the cooled seats on full blast then turned them off and locked the vehicle. Will check again soon so everything doesn't catch on fire.

Anyone else see this? Did I miss a previous thread on this? This was not outlined in the latest update release notes unfortunately.

I just had the same problem. Getting cold here in Michigan and I turned on the heated seats last night. Worked great, but then I couldn't turn it off. Every time I cycled through the three settings it would just turn back on (at least as far as the display).

My Polestar actually supports this as a feature. I'm not entirely sure of the purpose but it's nice to use if you're cold and wet.

Because the cooled seat is not AC, it's just a fan to circulate the cabin air into the seat. The seat heater just warms the seat, so they are complimentary (heat and fan, no real cooling).

I can run both features on my Q7 (heated and cooled) simultaneously, so I don't know that it is an issue?

Not sure I agree with this…my cooled seats get cold AF after not too long and I need to turn it down. Other cars I’ve had with just “ventilated” seats do next to nothing for me with the fans at full blast.
If the Rivian seats are just ventilated, they’re really onto something there.

Maybe it circulates cabin air directly from the output of the AC.

It just makes it more effective. Cooling turns on fans. Heated turns on the resistance element. Turning on both gives you air + radiant heating...it's intentional. Right? Anyone buy that? Bueller?

If the rear AC is on, it is directly below the fan for the seat, so yes it will pull in the heated or cooled air indirectly (if the rear AC/fan is on).
