It's because the sign sits on the continental divide...so water on the east side of the divide will eventually flow to the Atlantic (or Gulf of Mexico) and the west will flow to the Pacific. They have the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Oceans on the same sign..I have never seen such a thing...
I'm a "Left Coaster" so maybe I am missing something..
Its is a hell of a drive, and I highly recommend. Just don't be an idiot and do it in the 21s, unless you like to see large chunks of tread get cut out by sharp rocks. Here are some more photos:What an awesome picture of your R1S!!
A substantial part of your "Left Coast" water starts up there. Headwaters leading to the Colorado River. They have the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Oceans on the same sign..I have never seen such a thing...

Yep the water so many use/waste to feed their lawns comes from the divide! That's the "Rocky Mountain Way" , (Joe Walsh)A substantial part of your "Left Coast" water starts up there. Headwaters leading to the Colorado River.
