Having this issue too and getting ready for ceramic coating. So is the solution to just clean as well as you can using dawn dish soap for the trim and then hitting it with the Cerakote?
I applied Cerakote shortly after taking delivery, and it works fine, but I still have to scrub the cladding to get it somewhat clean.
Also, am I the only person whose cladding is getting destroyed by road debris, which makes it much harder to clean, and is most likely taking the Cerakote with it? The attached picture shows the damage; all of the specks in the plastic are damage from something. I drive on paved roads 98% of the time and never drive like a fool on gravel, so I can only assume it is due to misaligned panels/cladding. Both sides are similar.
