How many 2018 preorder holders are still waiting?

Haven't heard a peep from a Guide. Not even getting contacted and offered to go with black interior like many others. Order date doesn't seem to make much difference. Location and configuration are the top priorities.
Just saw on Reddit that a 90 yr old farmer in our county got his Rivian--beat us to being the first, but glad to see it.

Yeah at least with FE you kinda assume that although it could be on time it won’t be early.

Yup...an age connected delivery priority would have been nice, too. ? But, can't have it all. We've been concerned all along that we might not get our Rivian before we got too old to enjoy it...still concerned.? I am really happy for the super-senior farmer that got his, though.

Right, but others that ordered FE have been offered, and have switched, to black interiors and have their R1Ts. I haven't even been offered, or even contacted, and ordered BEFORE they did. ? Order date doesn't matter much. It's okay, but still I can't help but feel left out.

Yeah but I imagine it's 100% random and location based for the offerings. Imo if someone is ok with black mountain they can swap their build but if they'd want FE more than stick with it and leave the offerings to chance. I'm on the fence because I tend to like OC more but if I were going to go for sooner than favor I'll just change my build. But IMO the fact that they didn't send an email to everyone in immediately delivery months an email saying "look FE and OC is backordered choose BM if you want priority" means that FE and OC aren't going to affect delivery *that much* and they're trying to avoid cornering people into BM too much where they get their truck and a month later people start getting FE and OC interiors and they have buyers remorse.

I really think the earlier you ordered you somehow got lost into a black hole in their system and are just getting overlooked. Only half joking.

Just as perplexed and upset as you. November 2018 deposit, no guide or anything even suggesting a change to meet the delivery deadline.

As for FE/OC not affecting delivery that much, if that was the case at all, then they would contact NO ONE to change, the fact that they did means something. But as always there is no communication so we are left to just speculate.

Sure, but until an OC interior is delivered, Rivian can say anything. History has shown they will say all is on track, until it isn't. I really hope everything will arrive as expected though.

I'm still waiting 3 weeks after my 1st guide contact and switching to BM from FE. Emails to my guide are going unanswered, but I'm guessing he doesn't have any new information to share.

All we can do is wait ?‍

I suspect there’s a transition happening from a handpicked random shitshow to an integrated MRP prioritization. The backend work has to be done before any customer service rep or guide has any insight into when and how you’ll get your truck.

I had my intro call with my Guide yesterday about my R1S. We reviewed my configuration, once in agreement we locked it in (LE R1S LG, BM, 20’ A/T dark). There was no delivery estimate beyond my March/April window. Now that my order is locked, next update I will get about delivery estimates will be once factory gate happens (the car is built and matched to my order). Then it is transported to SoCal and inspected. Once these steps are complete, I’ll get a VIN and the 8 steps to complete documents and prepare for delivery. I was hopeful to get an updated delivery window estimate. But we’re locked and on our way to taking delivery of our R1S s00n.

I am a Dec 10, 2018 reservation holder on R1T, Launch Green, Ocean Coast who was contacted a couple weeks ago about switching to BM from OC and i turned it down. Still hoping my April/May delivery window holds. No news from guide. When asking if i could get my charger now since they sent out the "plan ahead" email, and the answer was No. I will get that opportunity once they confirm truck is 'coming' and i'll have essentially the 2-3 weeks from then to get the charger, get an electrician lined up and installed before the delivery happens. May be charging my R1T at local charging station for a while if timing does not work out. Really want the OC interior, so holding out in hopes its just a batching issue and not a true supply chain issue. Falling back on hopes that if it is a supply chain issue that my early reservation on launch edition gets me priority of any "limited supply" of the first shipments of OC interiors to Rivian. We shall just have to wait and see at this point.

LE R1T preorder holder in AZ, since Nov 2018. Rivian Blue/OC. Delivery window of March/April, still haven't been contacted by a guide. Every time I talk to CS, they say "any day now". Sigh
